What angers you about the world? – A quick guide to finding your voice.2 minutes read

Is it something personal? the system? The way society does something? Or is it about something that is not done enough?

If you know how, you can channel your anger into purpose, determination, self-esteem, and pride. And this is how:

Don’t ignore your anger.

Answer and brainstorm about the things that anger you, write them down, don’t judge them. What have they something in common? Do they have a root cause?

Question them:

Now that you have a list, order them by the degree of importance. If you doubt how to prioritize, the ones that affect the most people win.

Plan and think deeply:

With the most important in mind, now its time to think as critically as possible about it, it might be challenging, but it will give you a voice, a standpoint in life that you will be able to defend with pride:

How do you envision things differently?

What could be done to get there?

Who must be involved to make a change?

Would you be open to being wrong and change your mind?

In what ways could you get it wrong?

Is there any research that you could do to find solutions?

Can anybody be against this? Are they right as well?

If one of the things in the list does not stand the questioning, go to the next. Once you find yours, it will be self-evident.

You are not alone

If something angered you, most likely is that it angers someone else too. Believe in it, you know something can be done about it, find the people that think the same. Write about what you stand for, make content, videos, interviews, make your group. Like-minded people will find you.

Turn this cause into your cause

And when you fix it, move to the next.

Use your anger to get a cause, a voice, a purpose, a community, and lots of meaning.
